About social media activities of Astemo

Astemo Group will use various social media for promotions, communication activities, announcements, and public relations activities, etc., for the purpose of building better relationships with visitors to this website (“Visitors”) and all users of social media (“Users”).

Astemo Group does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, safety, currency, or any other aspect of the information posted on official accounts. Astemo Group shall not be liable even in the unlikely event that there is an error in the content posted on an official account.

Astemo Group is not liable for any damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, official accounts by Users.

Astemo Group does not guarantee the continued operation of any official account. Astemo Group may suspend the operation of any official account or delete any official account without prior notice. In such cases, Astemo Group shall not be liable for any damage incurred by Users.

Astemo Group shall not be liable for any content posted by Users. Information posted by users is not endorsed by Astemo Group and does not represent the views of Astemo Group.

Astemo Group shall not be liable for any content posted by Users quoting or otherwise using content from official accounts.

Astemo Group may delete posts on official accounts without prior notice. In such cases, Astemo Group shall not be liable for any damage incurred by Users.

Astemo Group shall not be liable for any trouble or dispute that may arise between Users or between Users and third parties in relation to official accounts.

Astemo Group will not disclose any information regarding response standards, etc., of Astemo Group in relation to official accounts.

Official accounts are operated by using the systems of social media operators. Therefore, Astemo Group is unable to provide any information regarding the operational status of the systems of each social media operator. Astemo Group is also unable to answer any questions regarding the functions of social media, nor the software or applications provided by social media companies or third parties, how to use them, or any technical questions relating to them.

The following and any similar acts on or in relation to any official account of Astemo Group are prohibited.
If the conduct of a User falls under any of the following categories, Astemo Group may, without prior notice to the User, take necessary measures such as hiding comments, blocking accounts, requesting deletion, demanding disclosure, claiming compensation for damages, and any other necessary measures. In addition, if a User causes damage to any third party through the use of an official account, the User shall be responsible for resolving the matter at the User's own liability and expense.

Acts related to sexually indecent behavior, or child pornography, or anything equivalent thereto.

Posting information or photographs of illegal automobile modifications or dangerous driving.

Acts that incite third parties to engage in negative social media backlashes or boycott campaigns, etc.

Criminal acts, acts that lead to criminal acts, acts that encourage criminal acts, acts that violate the principle of public order and morals, or acts that may potentially be any of the above.

Identifying, disclosing, or leaking personal information without the consent of the person concerned.

Acts that defame, discredit, or damage the reputation or credibility of Astemo Group or any third party, or acts that have the potential to do so.

Posting content that contains discriminatory expressions or expressions which encourage discrimination.

Posting content that includes expressions that encourage suicide or self-harm.

Acts for the purpose of political or religious activities, such as soliciting support for or membership in individuals or specific organizations (religious groups, political groups, etc.), or posting content that falls under political or religious taboos.

Acts that infringe or may infringe the copyright, portrait rights, intellectual property rights, or other rights of Astemo Group or any third party.

Acts that impersonate another User or any third party, etc.

Posting for the purpose of affiliate marketing, advertising, or promotions, or any other business activity or profit-making activity (including cases where Users are directed to a site outside of social media and that site is for the purpose of affiliate marketing, advertising, or promotions, unless otherwise permitted by Astemo Group through commission or other means).

Use or provision of computer viruses or other harmful programs, or acts that may potentially be such use or provision.

Acts that violate the terms of use, etc., stipulated by any social media operator.

Posting of content that contains facts, falsehoods, or misleading expressions that are materially different from information disclosed by Astemo Group.

Acts that directly or indirectly cause or facilitate any of the acts in the above items.

Other acts that violate laws, regulations, ordinances, or their guidelines.

Other acts that Astemo Group deems inappropriate.

The intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, design rights, patent rights, utility model rights, trademark rights, and know-how, and also including the rights stipulated in Articles 27 and 28 of the Copyright Act of Japan) and all other rights (collectively, “Copyright”) related to content posted on the official accounts by Astemo Group belong to Astemo Group. Users shall not use such information without the consent of Astemo Group beyond the scope permitted by the Copyright Actand other related laws, regulations, treaties, etc.

The Copyright to the content posted by Users on the official accounts of Astemo Group belong to the Users themselves. However, by posting to an official account, the User grants Astemo Group the right to use the posted information on a worldwide basis free of charge and on a non-exclusive basis. In addition, the User agrees not to exercise his/her moral rights (as defined in Articles 18 through 20 of the Copyright Act) against Astemo Group with respect to the subject information. Astemo Group may share, repost, or otherwise reproduce the postings of the User in accordance with the terms of use stipulated by each social media operator.

Each User represents and warrants to Astemo Group that he/she/it has the legal rights to the content he/she/it posts and that the content the User posts does not infringe the rights of any third party.

Please be aware that information posted on official accounts of Astemo Group may include the personal views and sentiments of the person in charge of account management and does not necessarily represent the official announcements or views of Astemo Group. For the official announcements and views of Astemo Group, please refer to the news releases of Astemo Group.

Astemo Group has no obligation to post or store any content posted by Users to the official accounts of Astemo Group. In addition, Astemo Group may, at its discretion, delete, edit, or otherwise handle such posted content without notice to the User who posted it.

Astemo Group does not guarantee that it will respond, comment, or otherwise react to any postings or inquiries received from Users through official accounts of Astemo Group.

Astemo Group has access to publicly available account and profile information, such as usernames, profile photos, gender, network, user ID, and friends list, which Users have made public.

When Astemo Group obtains personal information from Users, Astemo Group will manage it appropriately in accordance with the Astemo Group personal information protection policy.

Astemo Group reserves the right to amend these Social Media Terms of Use without the consent of Users. In such cases, the amended Social Media Terms of Use shall become effective at the time Astemo Group publishes the amended Social Media Terms of Use on this page or in other media, and Users shall thereafter be subject to the amended Social Media Terms of Use.

If any provision of these Social Media Terms of Use or part thereof is determined to be invalid or unenforceable under the Civil Code or other laws or regulations, the remaining provisions of these Social Media Terms of Use and the remainder of any provision that is determined to be invalid or unenforceable in part shall remain in full force and effect.

The operation of the official accounts of Astemo Group and other matters related to the official accounts of Astemo Group, as well as the interpretation and application of these Social Media Terms of Use, shall be governed by the laws of Japan, unless otherwise stipulated in the applicable laws. Unless otherwise stipulated in the applicable laws, the Tokyo District Court shall be the court of exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance for any dispute arising from or in connection with the above matters.
